Upcoming Events

Monthly Meetings

We have a steering group meeting every second Thursday of the month, from 7.30pm, at our room (room 3) at the St. Werburgh’s Community Centre. These meetings are advertised on Facebook and Instagram and everyone is welcome! These meetings are where we organise all aspects of the project, and have recently been changed from Mondays to Thursdays.

Medicine Making

We host a medicine making session every month, usually on a Wednesday evening, sometimes during the day. During these sessions, we make a range of the medicines we need for the clinic and the projects we visit. These sessions are led by some of our volunteers and we all tend to learn something but these are not explicitly ‘workshops’.

Because the space is small, we have to limit the number of people. We open bookings on EventBrite shortly before each sessions and advertise them on Facebook.
We use a ‘pay it forward’ fee of £5 and £10 (sliding scale) for the medicine making sessions that will go directly towards the ongoing cost of running HWBB.

Next dates (2026)

Gardening

Gardening at the HWB Bristol medicine garden: these are run on the first Sunday of the month from 11am to 1pm. We welcome enthusiastic and committed volunteers interested in carpentry and gardening to come along and see how you might be able to get involved! You can check the events on Facebook and Instagram.

Please note that the gardening sessions are weather dependant.

This is where to find the allotment:
With The Farm pub ( Hopetoun Rd, Bristol BS2 9YL) on your left, walk up Hopetoun St to the cycle path. Turn left up the hill and take the path almost immediately on your right. Walk past the cycle path turning on your right and the plot is visible on your right. (Not the corner allotment but the one next to it. Its about 4 minutes walk)
